Arkansas Tech University invites applications for the position of Electronic Resources Librarian.  Start date for this position is August 1, 2012.

Responsibilities: Manages electronic resources; provides leadership in the use of emerging technologies to reach out to library clientele; provides reference and research assistance (in collaboration with the public services librarian); works with faculty in designated disciplines to develop collections and services; reports to the library director.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree accredited by the American Library Association; broad experience in using and managing a variety of electronic databases and services.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing electronic resources in an academic library; excellent communications skills; knowledge and experience with Library 2.0 applications in an academic environment; experience in the provision of library reference services; ability to work collaboratively with other library staff, both professional and non-professional; knowledge of contemporary issues in library collections and services; knowledge of cataloging for electronic resources.

Salary & Benefits: $42,000 – $44,000 depending on qualifications and experience; TIAA/CREF, medical insurance, liberal vacation and sick leave.  Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Librarian.  Visit the Ross Pendergraft Library & Technology Center web site at http://library.atu.edu/ for a closer look at the library.
