Illinois State University’s Milner Library seeks an innovative, collaborative, and knowledgeable professional for the position of Acquisitions Librarian. The Acquisitions Librarian provides expertise in the procurement of all library resources and manages the daily workflow for processes related to the selection, acquisition, and data entry of purchased and licensed content. This position trains, supervises, and evaluates the staff within the acquisitions unit, providing direction and support on their activities and resolving issues that impact or arise from other library units. The work of the Acquisitions Librarian is informed by an understanding of the variety of models for acquisitions and best practices surrounding strategically resourcing academic library and digital heritage collections, as well as functional knowledge of and experience in library procedures, library collection goals, acquisition methods, and University business procedures.
Salary Rate/Pay Rate: $62,100 – $72,000
