Acquisition and Metadata Librarian, Catholic University of America, Washington, DC

The Catholic University of America is the national university of the Catholic Church, founded by the U.S. bishops and the pope, faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ as handed on by the Church. The main library on campus is the John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library. The library system houses more than 1.3 million books and print volumes, provides access to tens of thousands of electronic journals and books. The University is also a partner in the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC), providing the Catholic University community with access to the library resources of the region’s major universities.

The Acquisition and Metadata Librarian performs and manages all aspects of the acquisition and receipt of print and electronic library resources. Performs and manages the creation, maintenance and enrichment of metadata representing the University Libraries digital, physical and virtual collections of resources.
