The University of Dayton Libraries seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented early-career professional to join the Information Acquisition & Organization Division as the Discovery Services Librarian. This is a full-time (12-month) tenure-track faculty position reporting to the Director of Information Acquisition & Organization.
This position will play an integral role in the development, implementation, and evolution of strategies and services for the seamless discovery of library resources and the continuous improvement of the user experience. As part of the discovery process, this role is responsible for managing aspects of the life cycle of electronic resources, which can include cataloging/metadata, access, discovery, assessment, and problem resolution. Since discovery is a constantly evolving process, this person is also responsible for monitoring trends and best practices in e-resources management, discoverability, and use. This position will work collaboratively to develop and assess efficient workflows for the enhancement of library discovery services.
