Scholarly Communications Librarian, University of Regina, Regina, SK

The Scholarly Communications Librarian will work under the general
direction of the Associate University Librarian: Content Management and
Discovery.  Situated in the Library, the incumbent will lead in the
planning, development, implementation, assessment and promotion of the
Library’s scholarly communications services including (but not limited
to) the adoptive digital repository (oURspace), open journal publishing
services (OJS), and digitization activities. Providing outreach and
advice on open access initiatives and open educational resources, the
incumbent will work closely with the Copyright Officer, the Research and
Scholarship Librarian, the University Archivist, the Library’s Open
Access Team, the Institutional Working Group on Open Access and Research
Dissemination, and the University of Regina Press to build and maintain
awareness on campus of scholarly communication issues, to develop
appropriate services to support the campus community on these matters,
and to champion open scholarship on campus.  Librarian responsibilities
of a more general nature may also be assigned and will take into
consideration the Scholarly Communications Librarian’s interests and
abilities.
