The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu) is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Librarian. This is a 12-month, tenure-track, faculty position. UAM, one of eleven campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in beautiful timberlands. UAM is a comprehensive undergraduate institution also offering select master’s degree programs.
Responsibilities: Candidate must be able to coordinate subscriptions and access to journals and indexes, both print and electronic; provide reference and instruction; maintain library webpage; administer library’s ILS Sierra; assist UAM’s IT staff in maintaining library computers; serve as liaison with academic departments; and participate in library planning and university governance. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications: Candidate must have a master’s degree from an ALA accredited program in library and information science; superior oral and written communication skills. Experience with ILS and serials preferred.
