The Arthur Lakes Library of Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the position of Electronic Resources and Collection Assessment Librarian.

The Library supports the information and educational needs of Mines, primarily in science and engineering, and provides technical information to the regional community. The Library is staffed by 10 faculty librarians and 11 paraprofessionals. More information on the Library can be found at http://library.mines.edu

Located in Golden, Colorado, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and just minutes away from downtown Denver, Mines is a public university with an enrollment of over 5,600 students in undergraduate and graduate degree programs in engineering, applied science and related disciplines.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide life-cycle management of the Library’s electronic resources and perform collection analysis, assessment, and oversight. Duties include coordination of activities related to the Library’s licensed electronic resources; working with vendors to troubleshoot access issues and remain current on vendors’ technologies; configuring and maintaining the usage assessment analysis tool (UStat); developing knowledge of the Library’s collections and Mines’ curricular focus; and evaluating and utilizing current research on collection analysis and assessment. The position will remain informed about emerging issues, standards, and technologies regarding the library profession and the Library’s management and discovery systems. The position serves on committees for the Library, the university, and other organizations, contributes to the profession, and engages in scholarship.
