E-resources Access Manager, University of Colorado Boulder, Boulder, CO

The University Libraries at CU Boulder is looking for a library professional to join their team as the E-Resources Access Manager. This position contributes to meeting the Metadata Services Department’s and the Serials Acquisitions and Access Unit’s goals by responding flexibly and imaginatively to evolving demands placed on the Department. The key responsibilities include facilitating access to electronic library resources available to the University community, troubleshooting e-resource access issues, managing the Libraries OpenURL link resolver, preparing reports and gathering statistics, and developing and documenting procedures.

A major portion of the work performed is analytic and evaluative in nature. The position requires an understanding of knowledgebase construction and management; an understanding of the use of resource, license, contact, bibliographic, holdings, and item records; and an understanding of how the above mentioned records and knowledgebase interact with the Libraries link resolver, proxy server, catalog, and discovery layer to affect users’ experiences with library resources.
