The University of Iowa Libraries seeks an enthusiastic and forward-thinking professional to guide the library’s scholarly communication efforts. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Collections and Scholarly Communications, the Scholarly Communications Librarian provides leadership and instruction regarding author rights, copyright, open access publishing, and compliance with public access requirements for federally funded research. This position will be responsible for maintaining awareness of national and international publishing trends, intellectual property rights, copyright and information technologies that affect access to scholarly information. The Scholarly Communications Librarian is expected to work closely with University Librarians, University of Iowa’s Office of General Counsel, faculty and staff.
