The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) seeks a dynamic full-time Executive Director (ED) to lead the Society into its next level of growth and service to membership. The ED will work in collaboration with the President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and The Kellen Group (SSP’s partner in operation management) to develop scholarly communications professionals for the future based on our mission, vision, and strategic plan. The ED is the consistent external face of SSP and manages the organization, reporting to the Executive Committee.
The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP), founded in 1978, is a nonprofit organization formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publishing community through networking, information dissemination, and facilitation of new developments in the field. SSP currently has over 1,100 members representing all aspects of scholarly publishing — including publishers, printers, e-products developers, technical service providers, librarians, and editors.
