Tisch Library Technical Services of Tufts’ School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering seeks an innovative, collaborative, service-oriented librarian to be part of a team that manages all phases of electronic resources for the Libraries, from evaluation and setup through implementation and ongoing maintenance. The libraries have created a shared service model for managing electronic resources and the successful candidate will help shape the model going forward. He/She will also help drive the development and growth of metadata services in Tisch Library in support of digital scholarship at the University.
The Electronic Resources and Metadata Services Librarian’s responsibilities include providing effective management of electronic resources purchased by the Libraries; providing leadership in developing, recommending, documenting and implementing policies and procedures that promote best practices for management and access, resolving data-related problems, acting as a resource within and beyond the department for electronic resources management; managing metadata for electronic resources using various library resource management applications including Millennium’s III ERM module, Serials Solutions management tools, and local databases; providing oversight for electronic resources maintenance projects, including a comprehensive review of the information maintained in the library’s Electronic Resources Management (ERM) system.
