The Information Technology Librarian is responsible as a member of a team for delivering high quality library service in a growing medical school and academic medical center environment. Functions include assisting as a member of a team in identifying new and emerging information resources to support the educational, research and patient care objectives of the institution. The Information Technology Librarian will provide library user and instructional services to all members of the Southeast Alabama Medical Center and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine community.
Additional functions include assisting with troubleshooting the systems required to maintain the online catalog, the library website, delivery of library resources using mobile technology, and other functions requiring the appropriate use of technology to deliver reliable and seamless access to library resources and services. The Information Technology Librarian holds non-tenured faculty rank at a level commensurate with the criteria for appointment and promotion of library faculty.
