Dickinson College Library seeks an innovative and service-driven librarian to join us in shaping services and collections for 21st century learners, educators, and scholars. The ideal candidate has significant, direct experience with implementation, management and integration of a variety of online library resources, software systems, and services; web development experience; and experience with provision of reference and instructional services in an academic library setting. Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and on teams are essential.
Specific areas of responsibility include providing leadership in these areas: electronic resources acquisitions, management, and assessment; library website management; integrating e-resources and online tutorials into the library website, discovery system, research guides, college learning management system (Moodle); and serving as point person for technical support of various electronic resources delivery systems. The librarian also provides information literacy instruction and support for assigned First Year Seminars, provides reference services including some evening and weekend shifts, and serves as liaison to assigned academic departments.
