The University of Maryland Libraries is seeking a Digital Librarian to manage the digitization center for textual, photographic, audio, and moving image materials, including the workflows for on-demand requests and longer term projects. The librarian will provide technical guidance and support to staff throughout the Libraries to facilitate both patron-initiated digitization requests and other digitization projects, and works with colleagues in
Technical Services on quality control of metadata records that are entered into the digital repository. He/She will be responsible for the maintenance of sophisticated digitization equipment. The librarian will supervise and perform quality control on digital objects. The librarian will manage in-house digitization projects as necessary. The librarian will be expected to remain current with digitization standards and best practices. The librarian will
