The Electronic Resources Librarian manages the selection, evaluation, and acquisition process for all databases, including making all funding recommendations and contract negotiations. The Electronic Resources Librarian provides maintenance on these databases, whether acquired as stand-alone subscriptions or through consortial means, ensuring the best resolution for any experienced problems. The person in this position will serve as a library website editor (using existing content management system, currently Open Text, and/or using Innovative Interfaces, Inc. (III)’s Millennium). The librarian will track serials and database packages using discovery, access, management, and assessment tools/products (currently Serials Solutions). As an involved library team member, this individual will work designated reference desk hours, conduct research for assigned staff/faculty projects, be the library liaison for assigned programs, create and conduct library training, participate on university committees as assigned and engage in professional development opportunities.
