Digital Asset Management Classification Technician for project (Oak Brook & Elk Grove, IL)

LAC Group is seeking a Digital Asset Management Classification Technician on behalf of our client, to work on selection, organization, accessibility and preservation of a corporate digital library. Duties include cataloging and maintaining accurate records of the collection. Position requires travel between Oak Brook and Elk Grove, Illinois so transportation is necessary. Successful candidates will be asked to provide a writing sample and complete testing.
·Upload assets to a central repository
·Assign appropriate taxonomy and metadata to assets
.Maintain and update existing records in prepare for system migration
·Assist with documenting processes and procedures
·Maintain usage rights metadata, including validating accuracy
·Other duties as identified and assigned
·Understanding of principles of library cataloging
·Working knowledge of cataloging systems and tools
.Superior knowledge of digital file formats
·High level of computer competency for MAC and Windows XP operating system
·Must possess excellent verbal skills, including in-person and telephone, and written communication skills
·Excellent interpersonal skills required, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with associates at all levels
·Customer service experience essential, with the ability to manage priorities against tight deadlines
·Must be self-motivated, organized and self-managed
·Must be able to multitask in a high-volume environment
·Attention to detail, organization, and great follow-up skills essential
·Must be able to respond to urgent requests in a positive and professional manner
