LAC Group seeks experienced Project Manager on behalf of our client, a prestigious government agency that has library and records services. The Project Manager will set and maintain overall direction for library, records and information management support services including the determination and management support requirements of library systems, including library and archival systems, cataloging, classification, circulation and research of technical library material and related library services, knowledge and information management, education and training management, logistic support analysis, computer resources, database applications support and technical documentation. Position subject to contract award. Work location Washington, D.C.
·Provides day-to-day direction and control of library, records and information support services including but not limited to cataloging and catalog maintenance, electronic resources management (ERM) support, integrated library system (ILS) support, client products research support, library materials processing, collection maintenance, interlibrary loan (ILL) and information desk support.
·Provides technical and functional guidance to project teams, monitors the progress of tasks and deliverables, tracks and reports project status to client and ensures that all critical project issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
·Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 8 years relevant experience are mandatory
·MLS or Master of Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution preferred
·Minimum eight years of relevant project management experience and administrative oversight of large federal library
·Proven knowledge of Millennium ILS/INNOPAC, OCLC/Connexion, WEBPAC Pro (Web based public access catalog), EBSCO and AACR2
·Experience in a law library environment strongly preferred
