The University of Guam Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Library seeks an energetic, self motivated and service-oriented librarian who will oversee the operations and staff in a broad range of activities related to the selection, acquisition and management of electronic resources and online and print serials. Specific responsibilities include management of the RFK Library’s electronic resources for learning, research, and teaching, as well as its serials collections in print and online journal database formats. The ERSM librarian will report to the library director. This is a 12-month, tenure track position.
Requirements: Master’s degree (MLS or MLIS) from an ALA-accredited library school. Three years professional librarian experience in electronic resources and serials management. Knowledge of current trends and practices in electronic resources and online database and print serials selection and management. Knowledge and experience in selecting and implementing technology used in delivering electronic resources for learning and research. Knowledge and application of teaching and learning approaches focused on student centered learning and outcomes. Strong interpersonal communication and public service skills. Ability to interact with students, faculty and staff in a courteous, professional, and collegial manner. Ability to meet academic promotion and tenure requirements, consisting of but not limited to active participation in University and community service and in self-initiated research and creative projects.
